Video-conferencing 101 ....how does it all work?
With all of the advances in technology on the web, learning by web conferencing has become really easy. Here's how it works.
There is no additional program to download or install. Simply type my special address into your web browser (Internet Explorer) and I will appear, live, on your screen. If you have a webcam plugged in I will see and hear you live as well. If you don't have a camera I will supply it free and show you how to hook it up. It automatically configures itself so there's no messy technical stuff you need to know. You don't need a super-fast computer or web connection either, we have had terrific results on the phone lines. (You DO need a PC running Windows XP or 2000 and a USB port.)
When it's time for your lesson you simply type the address into your browser, and your instructor will be there to make a one-to-one connection with you. You will see and hear each other live, in separate windows on your computer. For the duration of your lesson you will stay connected and the lesson will proceed as if you were in the same room. Music, exercises and MP3's of the tunes will be emailed to you in advance. We have adapted our teaching methods to the web video-conference and have achieved great results worldwide.
