- In the summer of 2002, MUSÉE undertook a survey of museums that indicated there were opportunities to improve the overall cost-effectiveness and efficiency of museum operations. In many instances the museums reported that operations improvements could occur as a result of beneficial relationships with supportive commercial entities. These beneficial relationships might include lower cost services to museums, aggregation of suppliers to the museum industry, and even new products & services designed especially for museums.
