Actually, at the early age of 3 years old, his parents gave him a 6-month-old German Shepherd mix dog named Blackie. Blackie very quickly became Joe’s shadow, sidekick, and partner in crime. When little Joey was about 5 years old his parents as well as everyone else that knew or observed him and Blackie, were amazed by all the tricks that Joey not only taught his dog Blackie but even his friends dogs.
