Modern Pioneering was started over 20 years ago by Mike and Nora. it all began when Mike came home with a brand new 1987 Jeep Cherokee (boy was Nora surprised!). Being an avid off-roader, Mike began to look around for suspension products, floor mats, roof racks, bumpers, a winch, etc.
Unfortunately, nobody was making a lot of products for the early Cherokees or any Sport Utility Vehicles for that matter. So Mike began a quest to find the products he wanted to make his Jeep fit his family's lifestyle of weekend outings, as well as using his rig as a daily driver. Well, after almost two years of buying, trying and testing products he built-up one of the nicest Jeep Cherokees you would ever see. In fact, if you get a chance check out the August 1992 edition of OFF-ROAD Magazine, pages 88 and 89, the editors liked it so much they did a two page full color spread on Mike's Jeep.
It was during this time Mike and Nora decided to help others not only find parts and accessories for their rigs, but offer them the best of what they found as "Trail-Tested" products. And so Modern Pioneering began ... they produced the first catalog of Parts and Accessories for Jeep Cherokees and began shipping products to Jeep owners across the country, as well as around the world. In 1995 they were also one of the first companies on the Internet to offer products for all Makes and Models of SUV's, Trucks and Autos.
Since that time, Mike and Nora sold the business and the website to Jack and Marja. They updated their site with a Shopping Cart System featuring Secure Online Ordering.
