Title

Woodstock Mozart Festival

Description

The Woodstock Mozart Festival's first performances were held in 1987 at the Woodstock Opera House as part of a summer theatre and music program called "Woodfest." Due to the success of these concerts, additional performances were offered the following year. From the beginning, internationally-recognized guest artists were showcased. In 1993, the Festival adopted a guest conductor format which enables patrons to enjoy the music of Mozart in different performance styles.

The Festival's goals are to maintain a superb orchestra that delivers extraordinary performances, centered on Mozart, which inspire and educate audiences of all ages.

The Festival's Outreach Chamber Music Sampler Concert offers the community an opportunity to enjoy exerpts from the chamber music repertoire that highlights a variety of instruments. This event is designed to please both adults and children with a special family ticket rate.
