Raynald Losier and Nina George started the business in 1993 to stay home with their kids, Malaya Mountain and Rahel Sky. It was a labour of love and persistence that created the first Mountain Sky soap bars in our basement. We have grown into a separate 7,000 square foot facility residing in the Canadian mountains. We use pristine mountain spring water to create all of our hand-cut soaps.
I really enjoy knowing that people love our soaps, and that all our soap end-cuts are given to Canadian food for Children for use in care packages. I especially like cutting up soaps for children in the developing countries. I love being the soap maker!
I have been working at Mountain Sky for five years, and sometimes I can’t believe I get paid to work here everyday. We all work as a team here. And as part of the community, I get to make and donate gift baskets for local fundraising efforts.
