Born in New Zealand to a family that emigrated to the United States in 1961, Joanne spent 20 years in the Kansas City area before being transferred to Colorado in 1986. She learned to ski and fell in love with the landscape and the lifestyle. She and her husband bought a condo in Wildernest and spent every extra minute they had there and on the ski slopes. When her long-time employer offered her a "golden parachute" during a company reorganization, she took it and moved to the mountains full time.
Joanne came into the real estate field with a strong work ethic and well developed people and negotiation skills. She believes that continuing education leads to success, and, as a result, is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a designation which less than 5% of all Realtors have achieved. She is a certified e-Pro Internet Professional. Matthew Cheek came from the green hills of Tennessee to the rocky mountains of Summit County in 2000. He graduated with a BA in music and moved to the mountains for a little after college get away. After three plus years of the breath taking beauty of the rocky mountain life, he has never even thought once about leaving. Becoming a Realtor was an easy decision, to use his talents with person-to-person contact, business skills, and sell what he loves.
