Motorway Tyres is a leading Australian manufacture and distributor of tyre remoulds, retreads and pr-cure treads to the taxi, passenger, light and heavy truck market. Based in Stawell, Western Victoria (Australia), Motorway Tyres employees 100 people, and has been a leader in the development of innovative automotive rubber products for over 70 years.
The company is a leader in both innovation and manufacturing capability. Motorway Tyres is the only tyre remanufacture in the southern hemisphere with innovative production equipment including a "hot-box" inspection chamber, gravity feed production line, an ongoing rubber compound research and development and in-house rubber blending facilities.
Motorway Tyres has the goal of becoming the a global leader in the development, licencing, manufacture and distribution of recycled rubber products.
At the moment, Motorway Tyres faces uncertain future. The product itself is confronted by strong competition from new tyres and the company itself is faced with uncertainty due to the fact it hasn't been profitable for over 4 years.
