- Class facilitator and doula support services are provided by Naima Duncan. Naima is a professional trained doula through Seventh Moon Perinatal Services. Seventh Moon trains women to be doulas by DONA (Doulas Of North America) standards, practice, and ethics. Naima has earned a BA in English and Early Childhood Education. Naima is also seeking certification as an accredited Breastfeeding Counseling Specialist for La Leche League International. She is also a Level 1 Birth Mentor for Birthing From Within. Birthing From Within is an organization dedicated to revolutionizing childbirth preparation. Naima's first child was born at St. Barnabus Hospital in 2000 and the last two were born at home in water with Certified Nurse Midwives. She has been a preschool teacher for 9 years and continues to serve her community as a storyteller, professional dancer, dance teacher for children and adults, and birth advocate.
