Monty began his career working as a staff photographer at The Penobscot Times in Old Town. In 1989 Monty began his own business which has branched out to include wedding, portrait, daycare and corporate photography as well as sports. He went on to work for the University of Maine as a freelance photographer where he had the opportunity to shoot for the National Championship Maine Hockey team.
