The principals and staff of MSV are dedicated community-minded individuals with a history of having taught and worked to give freely of their time for the benefit of others than themselves.
Our Director, Joseph Tershay, has an Early Childhood Education Specialist Credential, an Early Childhood Education Elementary Credential and an American Montessori Society (AMS) diploma from the College of Notre Dame, Belmont as well as a Master's Degree in Special Education from San Francisco State University. Joseph has taught for 33 years in Bay Area Schools.
Yvette Leake is Head Teacher for the Otters and Bernadine Dewey is Head Teacher for the Dolphins. Yvette received her American Montessori (AMS) Certificate from San Francisco Bay Area Montessori Teacher Education Center in San Leandro, California. Bernadine received her American Montessori (AMI) Certificate from The Montessori Education Center at Avila College in Kansas City Missouri. Yvette has some twenty and Bernadine over eightteen years of teaching experience. We feel very fortunate to have these outstanding teachers on our staff.
