Title
Modern Office Methods
Description
Excerpted from the website:
- Modern Office Methods was founded in 1957 in Evansville, Indiana by Robert J. McCarthy. The first copying machine MOM represented was the 3M Thermo-fax machine which was the first all electric, all dry copying machine on the market and each sheet of paper cost five cents. This was the true birth of the copy machine business. For the first six months MOM had a staff of three salesmen and one to two service men putting out an average of 20 machines per month. Founder Robert J. McCarthy moved the corporate functions to Cincinnati in 1967 and has seen the business grow to nearly 25 million dollars today. Included in the growth is the spin-off of over a dozen companies throughout the years. As a family-owned and -operated company, MOM is in its second generation of family leadership.
