Kevin Boyd

Kevin Boyd graduated with a HND in Computer Data Processing in 1984. Though now a fully qualified Systems Analyst and COBOL programmer Kevin's real passion was in developing games for the burgeoning home computer market. In particular Kevin became most adapt at coding in BASIC and 6502 Assembler on BBC Micro's. This lead him to having a number of games published in the popular computer press and winning the Personal Computer World magazine's 1984 computer animation competition

All of these personal achievements opened the door to his first job in 1985 with the newly formed Futuremedia company based in Bognor Regis, West Sussex.. In his three years there he wrote a control system for a Philips 831 videodisk player which was used on a BBC micro for an Interactive Videodisc for secondary schools teaching Physics & Chemistry. Next he worked on a 2 year project for The Ford Motor Company on Statistical Process Control which involved a series of 5 Videodiscs used throughout the world and was the winner of several awards including the 1991 BIMA "Best Multimedia Production".

After leaving Futuremedia in 1988 Kevin spent a year at Rediffusion Flight Simulators in Burgess Hill developing for training software for Harrier Jets and British Petroleum. In 1990 Kevin decided to set up Multimedia Creations in Brighton to help other companies develop Multimedia Training material. Since that time Kevin has helped hundreds of companies develop Computer Based Training, CD-ROMs, Web sites, Presentations, and games using a steady progression of the latest authoring environments starting with the DOS based TenCORE in the late 80's then Authorware in 1990, Director in 1991, Visual Basic in 1992, ToolBook in 1994, then Flash in 1999.
