- Kart driver Misty Balser, was born in Southern California to a family of avid race fans. In a natural setting of automotive passion, Misty found herself going to car shows at a very young age. Calling her grandfather, Dave, over to check out an engine, grandpa knew there was something special about this young lady. At a local car show, Misty and her grandfather walked over to a PITTS go-kart display and Misty showed her interest in driving the race kart.
