I used to curse caravans. There I would be, a young company representative, bombing around the side roads of North Wales in my Vauxhall Victor 2000, full of the joys of spring and then I would turn a corner -- and there it was. A long long tailback of cars trailing slowly behind a solitary touring caravan that was plonked firmly in the middle of the narrow, twisting road holding a steady 18 mph. Since then of course I have realised that time is not everything, and that the poor caravan owner in front of me all those years ago was probably very seriously worried about whether or not he, or she, was fully insured.
