Millinocket is located in the northern part of Maine's Penobscot County. With a population hovering near 5000 people, Millinocket is a key hub in this part of the state. Millinocket is home to the Millinocket Regional Hospital that serves the regions healthcare needs. Stearns High School with its Performing Arts Department and sports complex hosts many of the regional high school competitions that take place in this part of the state.
