Primordial is a private company located in Saint Paul, MN. Incorporated in May 02, Primordial is the leader in vision system software for soldiers. The company combines engineering expertise from MIT with defense industry experience from Minnesota Defense.
Primordial's flagship product, Primordial Soldier, is designed for soldier systems such as the Land Warrior and Future Force Warrior. Primordial Soldier equips troops with capabilities (e.g. target locking, battlefield routing, and threat assessment) that were once limited to tank operators and fighter pilots.
In Aug 03, Primordial formed a joint venture with Minnesota Defense. Minnesota Defense is a division of Minnesota Wire & Cable Co. (MWCC). MWCC has 180 employees and $17 million annual revenue. Minnesota Defense provided the Land Warrior's $2 million electrical interconnect system. The United States Army deployed more than 150 of these systems and performed field testing in Afghanistan and Iraq.
