- The owners of the property Reginald and Jenny Bedell, formerly summer migrants from San Francisco and Virginia, arrived in June 2002 to make New York their home. To go along with the old historic barns on the farm, the thirty acres of fields, and the 260 acres of woods they constructed a new three bedroom farm house with wrap around porches for the summer days and wood burning stoves for the winter evenings. Reg Bedell continues to actively practice law in the area and California. He especially enjoys conservation law and strives to see the natural environment protected and preserved. He grew up in Virginia and spent many hours in the low country of South Carolina enjoying the beauty of the low country and its abundant bird life. After college he migrated to the West where he spent 13 years at Lake Tahoe enjoying the western beauty of the Alpine Lake, and from there to San Francisco where he practiced law. Now as the circle of life continues he has returned to his summer childhood haunts of the Champlain Valley. Jenny Bedell, a native of Belgium, migrated to Florida and thereafter to San Francisco where she worked for relocation companies, investment firms, and recruiting firms. .
