Thank you for your interest in the Midwest Chapter, NRHS and the National Railway Historical Society (NRHS). We appreciate your considering us for membership. In the past our focus has been on the restoration of railroad equipment with our sister group, The Midwest Railway Preservation Society, Inc. (MRPS). While that is still our focus, it is time to branch out. We have different areas to work on. Do you have carpentry skills? Perhaps you would like to work on our railroad station at Glenwillow, Ohio. Maybe you're a modeler. Join us and share your expertise. If you want to be with a group of people who share the interest of railroading, please join us!
Following is an application for membership to the Midwest Chapter and the NRHS. Any person of good character, sixteen (16) years of age or older, interested in any facet of railroading is eligible for membership. Attendance at a meeting prior to becoming a member is not a requirement. However, it is recommended so as to make your acquaintance with our group and the members. Because we are deeply interested in restoration and preservation, work at the Roundhouse is recommended as well. Once we receive your application, you will receive notice of meeting times and places approximately one week prior to the meeting. Maps to both the meeting and Roundhouse locations are also included on this web site.
Note: All memberships run a calendar year of January 1 through December 31. Applications accepted after August 31 are subject to full charge, but will not be subject to renewal until the following year's end. The fee for the addition of a spouse or family member (who will not have voting privileges) is $4.00 per year per individual. The $4.00 is passed on directly to the National organization as per their fee structure. Spouses are encouraged to join as individual members for full benefits. Also, $5.00 of the chapter dues is passed on to our sister organization, The Midwest Railway Preservation Society. All members in good standing of the Midwest Chapter, NRHS are members of the MRPS.
