The goal The Midnight Owl Video web site is to become THE comprehensive source of information about softcore/T&A videos and movies, as well as the actresses that appear in them.

The basic idea for this web site originated long before I had ever heard of the World Wide Web. It was around 1994 and Playboy Playmate Tiffany Sloan had just surpassed Patti McGuire as my all time favorite Playmate. At the time I only subscribed to the magazine, but soon realized that Tiffany made frequent appearances the newsstand specials and videos released by Playboy Enterprises. I started buying anything and everything Playboy because I knew there was a good chance Tiffany would make an appearance. Then, suddenly, she wasn’t in a Sexy Lingerie video, or she was absent from a Wet & Wild video. She also disappeared from the newsstand special publications. At the time I attempted to find reviews of Playboy videos, hoping to find one where Tiffany made something of comeback. Instead I found that there was seldom a cast list with the video review, and the reviews themselves were brief, leaving out many important details. The magazines that did bother to review the types of videos Playboy released were either highbrow publications where the staff was more interested in the release on video of Citizen Kane than the latest Playboy release, or magazines more concerned with hardcore pornography than the soft stuff from Hugh Hefner. Either way, you got the sense that the people reviewing Playboy videos had no real interest in them, and were working their way up the ladder so that one day they could write about the new release of Gone With the Wind on video or, perhaps, the new release of Naughty Candy’s Anal Adventures.

At first I was going to publish a newsletter on the subject, trying to give as much information about T&A/Softcore videos as possible. But that’s about the time the Internet came to the forefront, and seemed a perfect vehicle for what I wanted to do.
