We're a Mid Level Steel Service Center. We provide materials not only to large companies but also Small Job Shops, Home Shop Machinists, Universities and Home do-it-yourselfers. We'll saw cut to length based on your individual requirements. Sizes that we have listed are not etched in stone. Our knowledgeable Sales Staff will do their best to help service you and your requirements.
Our Founder Leonard Dannemiller saw a need for a Metals Distributor who could provide customers exactly what they needed. He would saw cut to length and provide exact quantities. These quantities could vary from one piece to a hundred pieces. Materials now entering shops were ready to go on a machine for manufacturing. There was a couple of advantages to this one, you eliminate the need of a saw or someone to run it, and also remaining material did not exist. He would not penalize someone for buying a half a bar or few cut slugs, he encouraged it.
Spee-D-Metals was established in 1977 in a small 1,100 square foot rental unit. Since the early days we have grown every year since. With no Outside Salesmen, word of mouth and customer loyalty have allowed us to grow to our present size. We're located on a heavily traveled industrial park in a 20,000 square foot facility stocked with over 10,000 items. We carry various grades of Carbon and Alloy steel, Stainless, Aluminum, Brass Tool Steels, along with structural items and Plate. Please contact us and see how we can service you.
