The mission of the Mid-East Regional Housing Authority is to provide safe, quality and affordable housing to low and moderate-income families and to promote personal responsibility and self-sufficiency of residents while maintaining the fiscal integrity of the Housing Authority. The Mid-East Regional Housing Authority was chartered in 1969 after several counties determined that there was a need for low-income housing in rural areas of Eastern NC.
