We all know that first borns are leaders while last borns are brats, then what is left of the middle child? Middle Children are also known as the “mysterious” ones. Studies in the last decade has shown that they are attention getters, due to the fact that they are not given enough attention during childhood. They are also seen as the introvert type with low self-esteem. However, recent studies show that the latter statement is not always true. The studies indicate that there are actually at least two types of middle children. The two types differ based on how well they interact with people. The first type is the introvert type. The introvert child is often seen as shy, unfriendly and generally not sociable. While the extrovert type is a very outgoing person who enjoys social events and gatherings. While the two types are very different in some ways, they also possess traits that are common to both. Sadly, these traits includes the following: low self-esteem, approval seeking and rebellious.
