Description

I'm what you'd call a Microsoft enthusiast, sometimes fanboy would be a more appropriate term. My name is Jason Cox (as you've probably figured out already) and I'm a beta tester for Microsoft Windows Vista who often thinks Microsoft can't do anything wrong. Currently I am employed as a Customer Support Representative for a Northeast Ohio ISP. It's a great job, my coworkers are awesome and with our customers you never have a dull day.

In the future I hope to one day work for Microsoft, ideally developing software that's both innovative and easy to use. Even as evolved as software is today, there is still a long road ahead in terms of making software simple and easy to use for everyone from the most novice user to the experienced IT professional. However, as my current programming knowledge is limited to Visual Basic and a very small amount of C#, it may be a few years before my ideal job is realized. As such, until I can perfect my programming skills to the point that I could be an asset to a product team, working with the IT Operations staff at Microsoft would be a great opportunity.

Software, even as evolved as it is today, still has a long way to go in terms of accessibility and usability. Innovations such as speech recognition and the Tablet PC are excellent strides in both these areas, but until the most novice user can sit down at a PC and perform a simple task such as reading the news or writing an email without additional instruction, there will be always be room for improvement in my book.
