Mike's short story, Acclimatization, took third prize in the 2007 James Patrick Baen Memorial Writing Contest. The contest was sponsored by Jim Baen's Universe and the National Space Society, and final judging was by the publisher of Baen Books, Toni Weisskopf, and Jim Baen's Universe editors Eric Flint and Mike Resnick. The story will appear in the program book of the 2007 International Space Development Conference in Dallas, Texas. The conference is sponsored by NASA.
