Founded in 1880, the Michigan Funeral Directors Association is the nation’s oldest organization of funeral professionals. MFDA currently represents roughly 1300 funeral directors serving 650 funeral homes statewide, representing over three-quarters of all mortuary science licensees in Michigan. All MFDA members agree to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics, which is enforced by a Committee on Consumer Protection, Grievance & Ethics.
