Meta Descriptions

What are meta descriptions?

Meta Descriptions are an integral part of page development and identification. They describe a page's overall relevancy and show up in search engine results as a website summary. Meta descriptions should consist of 25 to 30 words and contain no more than 160 to 180 characters including spaces.

As a short and concise summary of your page's content, meta descriptions are generally crafted from text appearing in the first paragraph or two of your website.
