- MemoryJunction.com began as Memory Junction ~ Scrapbook Headquarters in the summer of 1997. The owner of Memory Junction ~ Scrapbook Headquarters, Jessie McKinnon. was at a career crossroads. At the same time, the scrapbook industry was just beginning to make its way out of the cottage industry environment. Grasping the possibilities of a growing market and fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning her own store, Jessie opened one of the first scrapbook stores in the State of Wisconsin. The brick and mortar store opened for business in October, 1997 in Hartland, Wisconsin, a small village northwest of Milwaukee. After being in that location for about two years, the space became crowded and the store was moved to Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Memory Junction flourished. The store brought to crafters the latest products from leading scrapbook manufacturers including products for creating family, baby, graduation, sports, school, wedding, travel, and vacation scrapbook pages. Rubber stamps from many popular rubber stamp companies provided products for the creative minds and hearts of those who just liked to make cards. Plus, Memory Junction ~ Scrapbook Headquarters housed one of the largest creative die cut centers in the state.
