- San Angelo has been my lifelong home. I graduated from Central High School in San Angelo in 1968 and then received my B.S. in pharmacy from the University of Houston in 1973. I met Mary in pharmacy school and we married in 1974. We have one daughter, Leslie, who will soon finish Law School at Texas Tech University. My father, Chick, started Medical Arts Pharmacy in 1957. I became a partner in the business soon after I graduated from pharmacy school in 1974. Chick retired several years ago and I became the "dubious" owner of the company. Our company has grown very significantly over the last half century. In addition to our retail store, we began a second venture, Medi-Mart Pharmacy, in 1989. This pharmacy provides specialized services to nursing homes and other institutionalized patients. My goal is to continue to provide the much needed services to patients that many retailers seem to shy away from while staying on the cutting edge of technology to make those services happen.
