MediaScore, Inc recognizes the need to provide a more cost-effective, convenient, and responsive way of measuring radio listener preferences. Today, program directors attempt to stay on top of their listener's music preferences through 'music call-outs', where listeners rate 7 to 12-second music clips. However, performing these call-outs requires a significant amount of time, coordination, and cost. As a result, there are only a handful of companies that offer this service to radio stations.
The Internet as a medium for conducting call-outs has been discouraged in the past because radio stations don't believe their listeners were on the Internet.
