- A medibot is a robot, or robotic system, that is designed to assist physicians, or other health care professionals, in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease or injury. Implants have been successful in recreating bounded virtual hearing for the dead and engineered vision for the blind, but much more technological evolution is needed to recreate hearing and sight that is as good as the new senses. Brain implants are also being used to treat neurological diseases such as Parkinson's malady.
