My name is Pam Wagner. I am the Owner and Director of MediTrans, a private occupational school that provides medical transcription training. I started training others as medical transcriptionists after I became unable to perform in my profession as a medical transcriptionist/medical word specialist myself because of a work-related injury to my right elbow and forearm.
During the 4-year hiatus in which I could not work, I gained a lot of knowledge through various programs for women interested in becoming entrepreneurs and decided to start a school to train knowledgeable, accurate, professional medical transcriptionists/medical word specialists. Who better to train others than one who has practiced this profession herself for many years. What better way to put my skills to use than by training others to do what I have loved to do most of my adult life. Thus, MediTrans Medical Transcription Training Service came into being in Maine, and now MediTrans Private Occupational School has been providing these courses in Connecticut.
There is a great lack of these professionals throughout the United States and some foreign countries. My goal is to provide qualified, committed, dedicated professional medical transcriptionists/medical word specialists by providing the best training program available.
