Nathaniel Meloon founded Meloon foundries, Inc. in 1938. As the company grew it moved several times to accommodate its growth until the most recent move to its present location in 1951. The company is located on the north side of Syracuse at 1841 Lemoyne Ave. From its beginnings as a small foundry the company has grown to its present size occupying some 60,000 square feet on a six-acre site. In 1971 Louis Iannettoni joined the company and became owner and president in 1972.
