me & my BIG ideas® is an energetic and fun company that was founded by Stephanie Rahmatulla in 1998. Since then, the company has blossomed into 30 employees with the help of her partner (and mother), Terri Gick.
It all started with 12 sticker designs and Stephanie’s determination. In February 1999, she headed straight for Dallas, Texas to the HIA Tradeshow to premiere her new line of products. Stephanie came home from that show with more orders than she knew what to do with. She knew then that she had a good thing.
Stephanie’s experience in the craft industry began when she was about 14 years old. She worked many summers in her family’s craft publishing company. Just a few years ago, she was a “consultant” for a well-known scrapbook company. During that time, she worked with many scrapbookers. While she was teaching…she was also learning. After making hundreds of pages, she began thinking that borders, corners, and stickers without that coordinated would simplify the process of designing scrapbook pages. She also wanted stickers without white margins. That’s when it hit her…THE BIG IDEA. She would create her own sticker line with borders that fit 12” x 12” pages and they would be CLEAR. The idea of starting her own little business sounded good…so she got busy!
