McDonough Telephone Cooperative (MDTC). is a cooperative structured rural telecommunications company serving local dial tone, long distance, broadband, internet, and video services to over 20 communities in west central Illinois. The cooperative has been in business since 1951 and is governed by a member-elect board of directors consisting of 11 individuals representing 11 regional districts. The cooperative is operated by an executive management team that reports to the member-elect board. Current President / CEO Bill Buchanan; VP Finance Jay Griswold; and VP Operations Marsha Livingstone make up this executive team. The cooperative partners with other local rural telephone companies and cooperatives in an internet consortium (Western Illinois Network Services) and a state fiber network (Illinois Network Alliance). MDTC has two wholly owned subsidiaries; MTC Communications, and Infobahn Outfitters. MDTC is headquartered in Colchester, IL.
