Description
S cott started homebrewing in 1987 by default. He found that the beers he enjoyed were difficult to obtain and quite expensive. As his hobby progressed, Scott designed his own one (1)-bbl (31 gallon) system to fuel his passion. Consequently, he and his friends were consuming his creations as fast as he could produce them.
A t the infancy of the microbrewery movement in 1989, Scott accepted a volunteer position at New England Brewing Company in Norwalk, Connecticut as an assistant brewer. There, he learned the details of a production brewery. In 1995, Scott moved on to Elm City Brewing Company in New Haven, Connecticut; at Elm City, he was the Head Brewmaster. In 1998, Elm City Brewing Company closed its doors. Nevertheless, Scott continued to homebrew until August of 2001,when he accepted his current position at McKenzie Brew House.
S o, come and join us. During the course of the next year, McKenzie will be featuring five (5) principal beers of our own as well as seasonal beers. Additionally, from our cellar, we have bottle-conditioned Belgian and Strong ales for your enjoyment.
