The Melbourne Cricket Club has by far the biggest membership of any sporting club in Australia. The club's principal public role, however, remains the progressive management and development of one of the country's greatest assets - the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
There are approximately 94,000 MCC members, which comprises 57,700 Full members and 36,300 Restricted members. There are also more than 161,000 waiting list candidates.
