I began my professional life as a musician. As a concert singer, conductor, educator and singer/actor in opera and musical theater, I am the product of six universities, have performed in/or conducted approximately forty-seven musicals and twenty operas, numerous oratorios and solo concerts. I am married to a professional dancer and we are the parents of two highly successful children. It seemed unlikely that after twenty-five years in the arts I would suddenly leave the performing world and become a full-time photographer. Nevertheless, it happened twenty-two years ago. I have been privileged to work with numerous generous individuals in the profession who shared their expertise unselfishly. This is why I belong to the two top professional photographic associations in the world. Ethics and a sense of sharing. I encourage anyone who wants to pursue a career in photography to get involved with these august groups. I have photographed people, places and things from border to border and coast to coast. Each subject brings its own demands and rewards, not to mention the people you are privileged to meet. I only hope I live long enough to see every state in this marvelous union. I wish the same for you and yours.
