At Mayo Editorial, we process hundreds of pages of editorial material each week from the raw manuscript stage to final copy. This editing is done to a very high technical specification. Recent major publications include the last two multi-volume SIL Limnology conferences comprising many thousands of pages of scientific papers. Electronic camera-ready copy was prepared for printing in Germany and CD-ROMs were prepared in-house.
The founder of Mayo Editorial, Regina McGarrigle, is a top scientific editor with considerable experience. Her blue-chip clients have included a number of the Elsevier Group companies, e.g. those at Oxford and Shannon. The Reed Elsevier Group is the world's largest scientific publishing house. Mayo Editorial has clients all over the world, e.g. USA, UK, Japan, Finland, Italy and Ireland. Clients include university research departments, multinational companies and learned societies involved in the publication of conference proceedings.
Ms McGarrigle has wide-ranging publishing experience having edited manuscripts for hundreds of scientific journals and books. She is a science graduate of University College Dublin – Ireland's largest university. As the principal of Mayo Editorial, she oversees all work carried out and ensures that it is of the highest quality. As well as in-house editors, an external network of highly skilled editors is available to Mayo Editorial. This ensures that the editor working on any particular project is familiar with the technical terms or 'jargon' used in the particular subject area.
