First Assembly of God in Mayfield, Kentucky is a vibrant part of the body of Christ. As we gather together, we seek a growing, intimate relationship with God, to know Him and be known by Him; to praise and worship Him, to bless Him as our King and our God. Dynamic preaching of the Word of God, Gifts of the Spirit in our services, and open altars for ministry characterize the weekly meetings.
We're a family with a heart after God and for His people. We follow His command to "Go ye into all the world....by supporting a number of Home and World missionaries through prayer and financial support. We have available to the community a bus ministry, which picks up individuals for services; feeding ministries, which include a food bank, open every Thursday morning from 9:00 am until noon, and a "Sheep Shelter" program, which prepares and delivers over 200 meals to the elderly and shut-ins; also, a clothing ministry available on Thursday's from 9:00 until noon.
Sound Biblical teaching and fellowship is presented through a variety of Sunday School classes, as well as through the Wednesday night Bible study and prayer meeting. For the children, we have a nursery available for ages 0-2, Children's Church on Sunday morning and on Wednesday we have the Missionettes Girl's Clubs and Royal Rangers Boy's Clubs.
