Mathsong Fractal Art, &c.

Description

Here I am clowning in the desert -- just kidding, although the desert southwest has always appealed to me, a native Texan. I was born in 1950 -- you do the arithmetic. My father was in the seminary at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth at the time. As a Disciples of Christ minister, he moved around in the southeastern United States, dragging us along with him. We bounced from Texas to Florida to Arkansas, to Texas and then back to Arkansas, where I graduated from Fayetteville High School. Then they moved to St. Louis, Missouri, while I went to school back at Texas Christian University. I married, moved to Miami, Florida, with my husband and 4 cats, divorced and moved to St. Louis. While in Florida, I acquired degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Florida International University, and two more cats. I brought three of them to St. Louis with me. I worked for a couple of years as a lab technician in a medical research lab, then went to work for the federal government, where I transformed myself into a computer programmer, getting a master's degree in same at University of Missouri at Rolla. I remarried, had two kids, divorced, and am now a single mom. I am lushly proportioned, and a late bloomer (my kids are 11 & 15). My perennial hobbies are art and reading. My more recent ones are gardening and genealogy. My most recent obsession is fractal art. All of it keeps me pretty busy.
