About M.A.T.C.H.
M.A.T.C.H. is a Not For Profit organisation which has been operating as a part of a state wide network of Community Housing Providers since 1991. We have a number of housing programs principally funded by the Department of Housing and the Department of Immigration Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs, with additional housing stock supplied by Brisbane City Council.
These programs are aimed at providing affordable housing to individuals, families and newly arrived refugees within the inner city & outer southern suburbs of Brisbane.
Community Rent Scheme – the largest housing program currently offered. This provides approximately 193 properties Head leased off the private rental market by M.A.T.C.H., which are then sublet to tenants at an affordable rent as determined by the Queensland Department of Housing (QDOH), Community Housing Rent Policy. Tenancies created under this program can be maintained until public housing becomes available.
