Masterson's Landscaping & Lawn Care was started in 1975. Working out of his home in West Falls, NY, Mike Masterson's services included residential landscape design and installation, lawn installation and maintenance, tree and shrub maintenance, and snow plowing.
By 1985 the business had outgrown its location and the former Graoc Dairy building and property on Olean Road in East Aurora were purchased. The plans included moving the landscape business and opening a small retail nursery. This was accomplished by the spring of 1986 and at that time the business was incorporated as Masterson's Garden Center. The vision was to be somewhat non traditional in the way the nursery was designed and what was offered. The addition of a petting zoo, children's playground, a large gazebo overlooking a fish pond, and extensive display gardens and ponds are just a few of the many improvements that have been made. Masterson's strives to offer a relaxing atmosphere that stimulates your imagination and creativity.
A wide variety of products are offered for sale from wild bird seed and gardening tools to books and supplies, unique gifts, five acres of trees and shrubs, a perennial department second to none and a 5000 sq/ft aquatic greenhouse offering the largest selection of water gardening supplies and aquatic plants available for literally hundreds of miles.
