- About Us
- The Massachusetts Stock Market Simulation (SMS) is a classroom activity played by teams of students from across the nation. We have state endorsed SMS, Stock Market Simulations and have the National SMS available for teachers to participate if we don't have a state specific SMS web page for their area. Teams are each given $100,000 in hypothetical money. The teams attempt to increase the value of their portfolios over a ten-week period by buying and selling shares of stock listed on the New York, American, and NASDAQ Stock Exchanges. Mutual Funds, margin and short selling are also taught.
