Marray was also the first manufacturer of power transfer hinges (PTH, or energy transfer hinges) to obtain a UL10C fire listing. These electric hinges can be used in commercial grade fire listed doors and frames. Without the UL10C listing, modified electrified hinges cannot be installed into fire listed openings.
In 2007, Marray Inc., went to Intertek Testing Services with a proposal to drill fire rated doors in the field for electrified locks using the patented Dor-Cor drilling fixture. The term "Perfect Raceway Program" was developed by Marray as a copyrighted service mark and is used in the program. The Perfect Raceway Program allows technicians to sign up for an take a 1/2 day class to become certified personnel under the Program. Technicians can then drill fire rated doors and apply a Warnock Hersey label to the door, thereby assuring any inspecting AHJ that the door has been modified under listing agency authority by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory.
