We are a group of Canadians who are followers of the Jodo Shinshu "Shin" sect of Pureland Buddhism. Shin Buddhism officially began in Canada with the construction of the Vancouver Buddhist Temple in 1905. Since that time, our teachings have steadily grown and spread throughout the country.
