- Although much discussion took place and several meetings and workshops were held on both sides of the border in the late 70's and early 80's, the Manitoba - North Dakota Zero Tillage Farmers Association was formally organized at a workshop in Minot, North Dakota on January 22, 1982. At this workshop the present name was chosen, the constitution adopted and the first board of directors elected.
