Description
Since retiring from first class Cricket four years ago I joined the Royal Grammar School Guildford as a Cricket Consultant. I quickly realised that Cricket as a sport had deteriorated technically in all aspects of the game. Malskills was formed to help improve the sport in mainstream schools and private sectors.
In Jan 1999 Malskills was formed and started with eleven students in a sports hall in Basingstoke, to a turnover of thirty venues and approx twelve hundred students per year. Malskills has grown ten fold over the last two years. Malskills has brought together a body of good quality coaches with the objective to help students maximise their cricketing talents.
Specially devised winter programmes have proven to improve pupils performance at a higher rate than those who abstain from the sport all winter. Summer Camps and Winter Courses have proved a great success in the mainstream and Private Schools, bringing affordable coaching to all students across the board.
