The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Sacramento and Northeastern California is a charitable nonprofit organization whose purpose is to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® traces its beginning to one boy’s wish. In 1980, a 7-year-old boy named Chris was being treated for leukemia. Chris dreamed of becoming a police officer.
