Our Mission
The Metroplex Association of Corporate Paralegals ("MACP") was formed to promote and encourage the professional objectives and goals of paralegals for in-house counsel, to provide programs of continuing education and development, to encourage high standards of integrity and professionalism.
To effect our mission, MACP members adopt the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility of the Legal Assistants Division of the State Bar of Texas as a guideline for professional conduct.
Our History
In July 1996, seven corporate paralegals met to discuss the development of a network of peers for the purpose of exchanging ideas relating to substantive law matters involving in-house corporate legal departments. Future luncheons were planned and invitations extended to other corporate paralegals.
